Hi Mary and thanks for your reply - YES is the answer to your question. My hosting company just this evening completed a move of all services to 'the cloud'
It was my instinct that it is the hosting server changes which have caused the issue, but they have said it is not and directed me to ask here.
As my CRM email function (same server, different script) has also been lost this evening it would be a BIG coincidence if not server related!
I have since been back to push harder and the support has passed it to their administrators, so fingers crossed they come back with a quick and easy fix.
