Course Creator cannot change enrolment key

I recently upgraded from 1.9 to 2.3

Now course creators are facing a strange problem, that at the time of creating a course they are able to provide the enrolment key only

Once the course is created, they cannot change the key, even the option does not show up.

Me as an admin cannot see that option in their courses to change the enrolment key?

Any tips?
